Prolly Shouldn't Ask Me To Comment...

This is what happens when petitions ask for comments:
I am outraged and dismayed that one year after the nation's worst oil spill ever, Congress is considering bills that would require offshore oil drilling in more coastal areas and with weaker environmental protections.

I urge you to vote No on H.R. 1229, 1230 and 1231. It's unconscionable that these three drill-at-all-cost bills would actually weaken the system for overseeing oil drilling that was in effect before the Deepwater Horizon disaster. They would accelerate permitting for deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico while side-stepping environmental laws and reducing federal and citizen oversight -- the very processes that the President's National Oil Spill Commission found led to the BP disaster.

These bills would do nothing to ease pain at the gas pump for consumers, nor will they improve national security or our economy.

Congress has done absolutely nothing in response to the oil disaster in the Gulf. You should be strengthening efforts to protect workers, fishermen, the tourist industry, the public and the environment, not requiring drilling in pristine areas like the Arctic and off our coasts.

Again, I call on you to vocally oppose and vote No on H.R. 1229, 1230 and 1231.

You people are so patently corrupt I don't know how you look at yourselves in a mirror. You are killing the earth; some of you because God says you can, some out of sheer greed, some a horrid stew of both. We are at a tipping point from which there will be no return. If we, at this time don't make the right choices, the future will be very bleak indeed, even for you over-rich, corrupt bastids. You can't buy clean air. You can't visit a destroyed wilderness. You can't eat seafood from filthy, oil-polluted water.

This is the future you are steering towards. Funny thing about Nature, its complex systems have a way of restoring balance. Remember 'Jurassic Park?' In the movie, Jeff Goldblum's character kept talking about chaos theory, how no system can ever remain permanently stable because of a random factor that starts the system on the slide to total breakdown.

Ad present, humanity is that random factor. If we don't back off now and start protecting our planet, your kids are fucked. I didn't have any because I know you bitches don't give a shit. It's all good as long as the money keeps rolling in, isn't it. I don't know why I even bother to vote any more, you all suck.
